After the Sunset
I took this picture on a trip to Phuket last May. I was at Panwa beach, on the other side of Chalong bay than Rawai beach. Rawai beach is where I was when I took the panorama at the top of this blog. The picture shows the hills behind Rawai beach just after sunset.
Yes, the colors in the picture are genuine. I did no post-processing other than downsize it for the web. The trick is to wait until after sunset, and to get lucky with the weather conditions.
Absolutely stunning, Jan — and welcome back to the blogosphere!

AAARRRGGGHHH~!
I’m completely envious! I’ve been couped up here in South Korea for far too long and really need to get to Thailand soon. I still haven’t been there. (My sister goes about 2x per year at least.)
But I will definitely need to get a better camera. That’s just too good not to keep.

Hi Jan,
I know how it feels; I’ve been at Phuket back in 96, and up to Chiang Mai.
Amazing landscapes, people, and philosophy, in many ways. Hope everything’s gonna be okay though.
